Week #12- November 4, 2024
McGaheysville Elementary School is grateful for all of the volunteers that support various school activities throughout the year. This year, as a way of saying thanks, the school will hold several drawings for special school prizes.
All volunteers working within the school from the beginning of school this year through October 30 were entered into the first drawing.
Congratulations to Kathryn White and Ginny Atkinson for being selected in the first drawing. As you visit the next time, see the office staff to choose a gift.
Thanks to everyone who supports the MES mission, creating a caring community of learners!
MES is a great place! It is because we have many great people doing great things!

MES Service Project 2024
MES will kick off our Fall Service Project to collect items for EAUS on November 4th (Parent-Teacher Conference Day) and continue receiving items through November 15th.
We recognize that some items may be difficult to send in with students on the bus, so feel free to bring in items when you come in for conferences.
You will find the collection location at the back right corner of the building at the end of the Kindergarten/First Grade hallway.
There will be four large boxes, one for each house (Eagle, Mountain, Red Oak, and River). We will have a friendly competition between houses to see which one can collect the most items. So, please place items accordingly. Access the Flyer here:- MES Fall Service Project
Thank you in advance for any support you may be able to provide to help "Stock the Pantry" at EAUS.

MES Library Information: Library Catalog Tutorial explains how families can access the MES Library Catalog and how to use the search, history and hold features of the catalog. Learn more at the MES Library Website.
Attendance Tip: Each home has their own nighttime and morning routines. These routines are largely built around the work schedules of the adults and the transportation specifics for the child/children. Establishing a predictable and efficient routine reduces stress and encourages positive attendance habits. Reach out if you want help working on establishing better routines. I would be glad to help think through that in a supportive manner.
