Week #28- March 10, 2025

I want to remind everyone that Daylight Saving Time started Sunday, March 9. Clocks were moved forward one hour. Plan accordingly for bedtime and morning routines. Buses will be rolling again tomorrow before daylight. 

As you look at the calendar, you will see that it is a busy month for students at MES. I will highlight a few of the schoolwide events here.

  1. The March 10-Day Attendance Challenge started last Monday and will run through this Friday.

  2. This coming Friday is House Day. Wear your House Shirt or House colors.

  3. Fridays in March will be fitness Friday. There will be an activity each Friday centered on wellness and literacy. 

    1. 3/14/25 HOUSE DAY- Students and staff wear house shirts or colors; There will be games and literacy-based activities for each group. 

    2. 3/21/25 Read A Shirt Day- Students and staff wear attire with words; Take a Lap for your mind,body,heart and soul during the day and read the shirts that others are wearing. Share stories about the shirts as appropriate. 

  4. March 25 is MES Spring Picture Day!

  5. Thursday, March 27 is the last day of school before Spring Break for students. Friday, March 28 is a Teacher Workday.

Our mission is to create fun, family-centered events and fundraisers to support our amazing students and dedicated staff at MES.   • Please contact the office if you are moving and your child will not be attending MES next year

  • Also, contact the office if you are moving out of the MES district and you still want to request that your child attend MES next year.

  • The March 10-Day Attendance Challenge kicks off this week! All students attending the next ten school days will receive free ice cream and students will be entered into drawings for additional prizes or rewards.

    Communication with the MES office regarding attendance has been very good in recent weeks. I appreciate the calls and emails each day. You are also very good at sending images of notes from doctors and other appointments. The time you take to contact us is very much appreciated.
