
Kindergarten has been all about pumpkins this week! Pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving, & even pumpkin pie!🎃🎨🥧 When not learning about pumpkins, kindergartners enjoy time with their book buddies from upper grades! 📚

We had some special visitors today- JMU football players! These steller student-athletes read to students, played games, and spent some quality time with our cubs! Thanks for coming Dukes! Mrs. Roderick has created a library full of wonderful books, stories, and opportunities for hands on learning. The library is a great welcoming space for all and a safe place for many. Mrs. Roderick is kind, positive, creative, and is a wonderful friend to all. 💕Congratulations, Mrs. Roderick! Well deserved!



Sandboxes aren’t just for little kids! Mrs. Blanton’s 4th grade class got to play with the county’s AR sandbox today! They talked about the Virginia regions, got to see the difference in elevations, and how water flows in our rivers when it rains. Super cool! ⏳⛰️

Third grade had a great field trip to the Frontier Culture Museum last Friday! 🍂🍂🍂


The Book Fair is coming! This is such a fun event and a wonderful way to add more books to your own home library or to your teacher's classroom library. The book fair will run from October 20-27. It will be open each day from 8:00-3:30, with additional hours on Thursday, October 26 for literacy night (5:30-7:00) and Friday, October 27 for a grandparent shopping event (9:00-12:00). Fourth grade enjoyed learning more about Jamestown with visitors from Jamestown outreach! This visit is always full of stories, interesting history, and lot of re-enactments!
