TSA Results

The Virginia Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization that promotes STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education among students.

The annual State Student Leadership Conference and Competition for the Virginia Technology Student Association, Technosphere, was held May 2-5 in Hampton, VA.

The conferences typically involve various activities such as competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities for students interested in technology and engineering fields. These events allow students to showcase their skills, learn from experts, and connect with peers with similar interests. Below are the final results:

Montevideo Middle School had nine teams in the top 10 finalists at Technosphere. 
The team of Jane Morris, Lily Sono, and Elena Nakashyan placed 3rd in the state in "Inventions and Innovations."

Wilbur S. Pence Middle School
The Ben Kiser, Jordan Rinehart, and Fielding Schrag team placed 1st in “Systems Control Technology,” and the team of Lia Dulo and Melany Zaldivar-Miranda placed 2nd in “STEM Animation.”

BHS TSA

East Rockingham High School competed in a range of competitions with their "Technology Problem Solving" team (Celine Powell, River Tenuta), "Transportation Modeling "(Sadie Morris), and "CAD Engineering " (Parker Hansen) appearing as finalists.

ERHS TSA

Spotswood High School's "Manufacturing Prototype" team placed 3rd. Team members included Yajat Vyas, Neel Patel, Mataeo Mousa, Omar Mahmood, and Sean Lin.

Other highlights included Kiernan Sheahan's finalist appearance in "Extemporaneous Presentation" and the "Technology Bowl" team of Rocky Chen, Mrigank Rout, and Kiernan Sheahan.

As a chapter, TAHS members had a total of 13 top-ten finishes, including the above awards.
