Kindergarten & Pre-K Registration for Rockingham County Public Schools
All Rockingham County Public Elementary Schools will be registering Kindergarten students and accepting Pre-K applications from February 24 – March 7, 2025.
How to Register:
✅ Online: Starting February 24, families can complete registration online at www.rcps.net.
✅ In-Person: If you cannot register online or need to bring paperwork (such as proof of residency or a birth certificate), schools will have specific dates and times available for in-person registration. Check the schedule for your school.
✅ Evening Hours: Each school will have one day with extended hours to help working families.
Who Can Register?
📌 Kindergarten – Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 30, 2025.
📌 Pre-K – Children who will be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2025.
Required Documents:
📎 Birth Certificate
📎 Proof of Residency (911 address)
📎 Physical Exam & Immunization Record (must be submitted before school starts)
Pre-K Applicants:
📌 Proof of income is required to apply for the Pre-K program, as part of the Virginia Preschool Initiative.
📌 Parents will be scheduled for an interview and student screening after applying.
