Attention Parents and Guardians-Great Opportunity! The First Lady of Virginia, Suzanne Youngkin, invites communities across the Commonwealth to join in a fireside chat with award-winning social psychologist, author, and researcher Dr. Jonathan Haidt, author of the bestseller The Anxious Generation. Following a live broadcast to participating schools across the Commonwealth, there will be organized community discussions about the risks of technology. Rockingham County Public Schools will make the broadcast available at Mountain View Elementary School. Please join us from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19 to take part in this important conversation. Following the live broadcast, Dr. Larry Shifflett, Rockingham County Public Schools Superintendent, will facilitate community conversations with parents, educators, students, and families to create best practices for the use of cell phones and social media both in and out of school.

Third grade visited Shenandoah Caverns yesterday. Students went below ground and saw former parade floats from their American Celebration on Parade exhibit!



Cub Camp Nature is in full swing! Many classes are moving outdoors in all subjects- including specials! Our students look forward to this engaging and dynamic week-long adventure all year. Many to thanks to our wonderful counseling team for putting this event together every ye




We are ready for Cub Nature Camp starting Monday! Because students will likely be outside more than usual, please be sure they use suncreen before coming to school, and please be sure they have a water bottle! We look forward to a GREAT week learning outside!


Second grade enjoyed their field trip and ended it with a sweet treat- ice cream!
